E-commerce website development for stores that need to sell, not just exist
Marketplaces make selling easy, but the customers, the brand and much of the margin are not yours there. Your own online store is how you cut commissions, build a direct relationship with buyers and grow a brand. Weras Labs builds custom e-commerce websites that are fast on mobile, easy to manage and properly wired into payments, shipping, invoicing and inventory.
Off-the-shelf platform or custom store?
If you have a small catalogue and standard processes, starting on an off-the-shelf platform can be the right call, and we will tell you so. As a business grows, the limits show: monthly fees and app costs add up, special pricing or wholesale flows do not fit, and the store slows down.
A custom or headless store makes the difference when you need:
- Wholesale, trade or customer-group pricing
- Made-to-order products, configurators or subscriptions
- Two-way sync with your accounting, warehouse or ERP system
- Top performance in competitive categories where speed drives revenue
Payments, shipping, invoicing and marketplaces
What makes a store actually work is everything behind the product page. Integrations we set up most often:
- Payments: Stripe for international sales, plus local gateways such as iyzico or PayTR for the Turkish market, with 3D Secure and refunds
- Shipping: label creation, tracking numbers and status emails
- Invoicing: automatic invoices and tax documents from each order
- Marketplaces: stock and price sync with the channels you already sell on
- Notifications: order, shipping and return emails and SMS
For cross-border sales we add multiple currencies and fully localised product pages.
What drives the cost
We do not quote off a price list. After learning about your catalogue and channels we send a free, detailed quote. The main cost drivers are:
- Catalogue size, variant structure and category depth
- Number of payment, shipping, invoicing and marketplace integrations
- Custom modules such as wholesale portals, promotions engines, coupons or loyalty
- Number of languages and currencies
- Migrating products, customers and orders from an existing store
To fit your budget we can launch a core store that takes orders first, then add modules in later phases.
Timeline
A focused online store with standard payment and shipping integrations typically launches in 4–6 weeks. Projects with marketplace sync, wholesale portals or custom modules take 8–12 weeks. External steps such as payment provider approval start in week one so they never hold up launch.
Technology and performance
We build the storefront with Next.js and React and the backend services with Node.js and TypeScript, using managed services such as Firebase for data and authentication and Vercel for hosting. Product and category pages are pre-rendered and cached at the edge, so they load fast even on mobile networks. In e-commerce, speed is revenue.
We can also add AI tools built on Claude or Gemini to draft product descriptions, categorise catalogues or answer shopper questions.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom e-commerce website cost?
It depends on your catalogue, the number of integrations, custom modules and languages. We send a free, itemised quote after learning about your store. Launching a core store first and adding modules later keeps the initial budget manageable.
Which payment providers do you integrate?
Stripe for international sales and local gateways such as iyzico and PayTR for Turkey, among others. We set up 3D Secure, refunds and, where relevant, instalment options.
Can you sync stock with marketplaces?
Yes. Using the marketplaces' APIs we keep stock, prices and orders in sync with your store, so you manage inventory in one place and avoid overselling.
How long does it take to build an online store?
A focused store typically launches in 4–6 weeks. Marketplace sync, wholesale portals or custom modules extend that to 8–12 weeks.
Can you migrate my existing store?
Yes. We migrate products, categories, customers and orders, and set up redirects from old product URLs to protect your search rankings.
What is headless commerce, and do I need it?
Headless means the storefront is built separately from the commerce backend, which gives you full control over speed and design. It pays off for brands that need top performance or custom experiences; for smaller catalogues a simpler setup is often enough, and we will tell you which fits.
