Custom inventory management software

Not knowing what's on the shelf means lost sales, unnecessary orders and cash tied up in a warehouse. Weras Labs builds web-based, barcode-ready inventory systems designed around your products and the way your team works. Your warehouse, your shops and your online store finally show the same number.

Why a custom inventory system instead of an off-the-shelf tool?

There are plenty of ready-made stock management tools, and for some businesses they're enough. They tend to struggle when:

  • Products are tracked by size, colour, batch or serial number.
  • You run several warehouses, branches or van stocks.
  • You manufacture and need bills of materials from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Stock has to stay in sync with your online store and marketplaces in real time.
  • Per-user licence fees grow every time you add staff.

With custom inventory software, the screens and rules match how you actually work, so your team stops bending around the tool.

What a typical inventory system includes

Every project is different, but most of the stock management systems we build include:

  • Product records, categories, units and variants
  • Goods receiving, transfers between locations, stock counts and write-offs
  • Barcode and QR scanning with a phone camera or handheld scanner
  • Reorder points and low-stock alerts
  • Supplier records and purchase order tracking
  • Batch, serial number and expiry date tracking
  • Full stock movement history with user-level audit logs
  • Reports on stock value, turnover and best and worst sellers

Because it runs in the browser, someone can count stock on a phone in the warehouse while the office sees the result instantly.

Integrations

Inventory software earns its keep when it's connected to everything else. Depending on your setup, we integrate with your online store (WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom platform), marketplaces, your accounting software, shipping carriers and your invoicing system. When a sale happens, stock is deducted automatically and the invoice carries the right product data, so nobody types the same thing twice.

What affects price and timeline

The cost depends on the number of locations, whether you need variant and batch tracking, how many integrations are involved and how much existing data needs migrating. We don't work from a fixed price list; after a short call we send a free quote and suggest a phased plan that fits your budget.

A single-warehouse system with the core modules is usually ready in 4–6 weeks. Multi-warehouse setups, manufacturing bills of materials and marketplace integrations can extend that to 8–12 weeks.

Tech stack and team

We build inventory systems with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node.js, storing data securely in Firebase or a relational database, deployed on reliable infrastructure such as Vercel with regular backups. If useful, we can add an AI module that looks at your sales history and suggests reorder quantities.

Weras Labs is a small senior team led by founder Habip Dayan. Throughout the project you talk directly to the developer building your system, and we stay on after launch for support and improvements. We're based in Turkey and work with clients internationally.

Frequently asked questions

Does the inventory software work with barcode scanners?

Yes. It works with standard USB or Bluetooth scanners, handheld terminals and phone cameras. We can also add barcode or QR label printing for your products.

Can a web-based inventory system work offline?

Being browser-based, it normally needs a connection. For warehouses with poor signal we can build an offline mode that stores counts and movements on the device and syncs when the connection returns.

How much does custom inventory management software cost?

It depends on the number of locations, variant and batch tracking, integrations and data migration. Rather than quote a generic package, we listen to your needs and send a free, fixed-price quote.

Can stock sync with my online store and marketplaces?

Yes. We build integrations that keep stock levels aligned across your website and marketplaces. A sale on one channel reduces stock everywhere, which cuts the risk of overselling.

Can you import our existing stock spreadsheet?

Yes. We clean and import product and stock data from spreadsheets or your old system. We recommend an opening stock count after the move to confirm everything matches.

Do you support manufacturing and raw material tracking?

We do. You define bills of materials for finished products, and recording a production run deducts the raw materials automatically. Costs and shortages become visible in real time.
