Web Design, SEO and Google Ads for Businesses in Iceland
Weras Labs builds websites, booking systems and online shops for businesses in Iceland and runs SEO, Google Ads and social media. We work remotely from Turkey, three hours ahead of Reykjavík all year, in English. Your Icelandic morning is our early afternoon. It begins with a free intro call and a written proposal.
- Free intro call
- Written proposal
- Time zone: Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) all year, no daylight saving

Most customers of an Icelandic tour company have never been to Iceland. They are researching from home, months ahead, comparing glacier walks, whale watching and northern lights tours on their phones. Whoever answers their questions most clearly, and makes booking easiest, usually wins the sale.
We build sites for that moment. Weras Labs is a software company in Turkey; one senior developer runs your project from the first call to launch and support. We work in English, write every decision down and keep the site fast enough to load on a weak signal at the side of the Ring Road.

- 05
Design, wool and creative brands
Small makers in Reykjavík and beyond benefit from an online shop that ships internationally and tells the story behind the product.
Web design and development for Icelandic businesses
Icelandic sites usually serve visitors first, so English is the main language and Icelandic sits alongside it for local customers. We make sure Icelandic characters such as þ, ð and æ display correctly in fonts, URLs and search results.
- English and Icelandic versions, plus German, French or other visitor languages if you supply the copy
- Booking engine integration or embedded booking widgets
- Online shops with international shipping rules
- GDPR-aware cookie consent and privacy pages, as Iceland applies GDPR through the EEA
- Lightweight pages that stay fast on rural mobile connections
You own the code, domain and every account.

SEO in Iceland: visitor research and Google Maps
Two kinds of search matter in Iceland. Planning searches happen abroad, weeks or months ahead, in English and other languages. On-the-spot searches happen in Iceland, on Google Maps, for a place to eat in Vík or a hot pool near Akureyri.
We cover both. For planning, we write detailed pages for each tour or service that answer practical questions: what to wear, how long it takes, what happens in bad weather. For on-the-spot searches, we complete your Google Business Profile with accurate seasonal hours and real photos. Technical work includes speed, structured data for tours and lodging, and clean sitemaps.

Google Ads for Icelandic tourism and services
Campaigns for Iceland are mostly international. We target the countries your guests come from, in their language where you have the content, and time spend to booking windows: northern lights tours from autumn into winter, highland and hiking trips towards summer.
We set up conversion tracking for completed bookings, not just clicks, so you can see which markets and keywords pay their way. Search terms are reviewed weekly and you get a short, readable report.

Working with a remote team from Turkey: time zones and process
Iceland stays on GMT all year and Turkey stays on UTC+3, so we are three hours ahead of you in every season. Your morning falls in our early afternoon, which gives us a comfortable shared window for calls during your business hours, and we answer async messages before your day starts.
How we work: - A free intro call, followed by a written proposal in English covering scope and dates - A shared project board where you follow progress - Weekly updates and calls in your morning or around midday - A staging site for review, ideally launched before your busy season - Handover of code and accounts, with optional support
We have no Icelandic premises or staff. One senior developer stays your contact.

How we work
Every project follows the same five steps. At each one you know who you're talking to and what you'll receive.
- 1
Free intro call
We talk through your business, goals and budget, and look at your current setup together if useful.
- 2
Written proposal
Scope, delivery date and price, itemised in writing. No surprise extras later.
- 3
Design and build
We work in short cycles; a preview link lets you follow progress and comment at any time.
- 4
Launch
We set up the domain, hosting, Search Console and analytics, then take the project live.
- 5
Support and growth
We stay reachable after launch: fixes, new features, SEO and ad optimisation.
Web design in Iceland: FAQ
Do you have an office in Iceland?
No. Weras Labs is based in Turkey and works with Icelandic clients remotely, through video calls, email and a shared project board. We have no address or local staff in Iceland. You speak directly with the developer who builds the site.
What is the time difference between Iceland and Turkey?
Turkey is three hours ahead of Iceland all year, since neither country uses daylight saving time. Your morning is our early afternoon, so we hold calls in your morning or around midday and handle the rest asynchronously.
Can you connect our tour booking system to a new website?
In most cases, yes. We embed or integrate the booking platform you already use, style it to match your site and track completed bookings in analytics and Google Ads. If you have no system yet, we can suggest options.
Can the site handle Icelandic characters properly?
Yes. We choose fonts that support þ, ð, æ and accented vowels, handle them correctly in page titles and metadata, and use clean URL slugs. Icelandic copy itself should come from you or a native writer.
When should a tour company launch a new site?
Ideally before the booking window for your main season opens, so Google has time to index the new pages and your ads have data to learn from. We plan the timeline backwards from that date in the proposal.
How do we start?
Book a free intro call. We ask about your guests, your season and your current setup, then send a written proposal in English. Work begins once you approve it, and you are welcome to ask questions first.

Let's talk about your Iceland project
Describe what you need in a few sentences. We'll pin down the scope on a free intro call and send a written proposal. You talk directly to the developer.
Social media management for Icelandic brands
Iceland is one of the most photographed places in the world, so Instagram is the obvious channel for tours, accommodation and creative brands. Short video works well for showing what an experience actually feels like. Facebook still matters for local audiences and events, and LinkedIn suits seafood and B2B firms.
We plan content monthly, write in English, publish Icelandic posts you supply and can run paid campaigns aimed at specific source markets.
